Mediocre frozen beef patty fried until technically done but without any real flavor, served on a mushy bun isn't exactly a compelling dish. Maybe in downtown mishawaka where there's more foot traffic and there isn't a much better option for the same kinds of food *right next door* this would have been a better option. My dining companion did not seem particularly thrilled with his Chicago dogs, either. The waitress was nice, though, and good at keeping our drinks topped off. That's worth a star, even if the chances I'd go back to the restaurant are nil.

This is a hot dog place.... not a Fine dining restaurant Service was still good. Overall, not bad!

At first I was disappointed. Never did I expect this place to be a hotdog restaurant. The name on the building clearly says that it's a place where you can go and walk a dog. It's a little surprising to walk into the place and not see a dog or even a single leash. I decided to try the hotdogs and they were very good to my amazement. This is the #1 hotdog joint in town but I'm afraid that too many people think it's a place where you you can take dogs for a walk. It would be a good idea to change the name so people don't get confused.

Been meaning to stop by this place for a while and I'm glad I did. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was reasonably priced and the variety of hot dogs was good. Definitely going to come back to try the beef Manhattan since they said they make their gravy in house!

I'm a huge hot dog person an prefer hot dogs over hamburgers any day. I call it hot dog paradise. I love their hillbilly hot dog. It's awesome. I love the fact that they have VIENNA hot dogs, and not plain generic hot dogs one might find in a grocery store. But make sure you get a jumbo hot dog and not a regular hot dog. The regular hot dogs are tiny. But for the most part If a person is looking for really great new twist on a hot dog... Waka dog is the way 2 go!!!

I think my dining companion said it best: "I too, can take a frozen beef hot dog, put it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and put it on a bun. What I can't do is put industrial-grade chili on it." Corn dog, onion rings, fries, all came from frozen food thrown in a fryer. It was all underfried, too. Everything was kinda soft. Except for the fries, those were ok. Service wasn't good either. I went and order a corn dog, water, and fries. I instead got a corn dog basket (which includes a soda) with a onion ring sub (which cost an extra .75). I expect more for 6.50 before the tip. Not only did you skimp, but you got my order wrong. Wrong. Wrong. This is clearly some random family that thought they could make a living by getting cheap food, preparing it poorly, and serving it without having learned anything about the service industry. You're gonna need some work honey, you're not gonna have enough time before the business sinks, and quite frankly, you really don't deserve it.

Right away any place that has a hot dog covered in sloppy joe mix rather than the standard chili and cheese has piqued my curiosity. The thing with hot dog places is I don't expect them to wow me with gourmet dogs and high-priced ingredients. I'm really only looking for originality in the way they combine elements. I can get a chicago dog anywhere. I want something that's going to wow, some kind of hot dog or sausage I won't be able to get anywhere else. Waka Dog Cafe satisfies this critera admirably. Their menu is full of interesting surprises when it comes to hot dogs and sausages. Not only that, but they manage to squeeze in items you normally don't find in a hot dog joint like spaghetti and meat loaf. I'm not saying you should expect anything more than it is. It is a cheap, convenient place to grab a hot dog now and again. But within that construct is a place that may just surprise you at how varied their menu is as well as their willingness to expand on what a hot dog can taste like with different toppings.

Hot dogs! And they serve breakfast. Prices are super reasonable! Check them out right by Notre Dame in their new location.

We were back in the Bend for my daughter's baptism and were looking for a quick, cheap bite to eat. Having somehow noticed (it's kind of hidden in the back of the little strip mall) Waka Dog driving by the previous day, we thought we'd give it a shot. Unlike some other times on Yelp, I can say that just about everything the other reviewers said seems accurate, it's all just a matter of perspective. Overall, the food is, as others said, processed/frozen and dumped in a fryer or some other quick preparation. I don't think any of us had anything really impressive or that we'd come back specifically for. What we did get is mostly satisfying, cheap, quick (although maybe not quite as quick as desired) food served with friendliness. Some thoughts on the various items ordered below: Chicago Dog: roughly the right mix of ingredients, didn't have the neon green relish from Vienna, and the bun was toasted, not steamed as per Chicago dog standards Sloppy Joe Dog: Something fairly original and pretty tasty. Sloppy joe was actually decent but probably still canned Pulled Pork: I didn't have this but my wife said she enjoyed it. Fries: Pretty basic frozen variety but they had some seasoning on it that made them quite addictive
